The M4097D scanner offers production level performance. Scanning speed in simplex mode is 50 letter-size-pages per minute (ppm), and in duplex mode is 90 images per minute (ipm) . Each has a maximum resolution of 600 dpi to capture the fine details of graphics and photos, while sophisticated dithering and diffusion algorithms deliver superior halftone rendering.

The infrared document double feed detection reduces downtime by preventing document double feeds.
